Okay, friends -- now that we have fruit from the little volunteer that cropped up through the hole in our asphalt patio:

And we finish today's brief post with a shot through the Jeep's grimy window (The Editor asked 'Why??' -- I said because it imparts a sort of cozy yet surreal fog to the scene) of our neighbor's lovely outdoor veranda. So comfy -- and well-guarded, too!

Will keep ya posted! I just realized tonight that I've been carrying the thing around in my purse for the past 24 hours, showing it to people to get their opinion. It's looking considerably less perky now. I'll make The Editor take a bite of it tomorrow night and get his reaction. :)
